Bunk Boards

These carpeted bunk boards provide hull support for your boat during transport and storage. Each 7' long board is wrapped in weather-resistant, marine-grade black carpet. You can run the bunk boards front to back for traditionally shaped hulls or side to side for flat-bottom boats, kayaks and inflatables.

To attach the bunk boards to the front and rear crossmembers of your trailer frame, use existing brackets or a four-pack of swivel mounting brackets (CE10000G-4, CE10001G-4 or CE10002G-4 - sold separately). These brackets allow you to install the bunk boards at different heights. In addition, they enable the bunk boards to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

  • I Am Looking For 8 Foot Long Bunk-Style Guide Ons For My Boat Trailer
Hey Kenneth, The bunk-style guide on kit # CE27600 have 5 foot long bunk boards in them. The can be adjusted to fit different size trailer frames, but the actual length of the bunk board is not custom. The longest bunk board that we carry is 7 feet long # CE27845, we do not have any that are longer than that. An option you could do if the 7 foot long boards would work is to use the bracket kit # CE27600K90 with the bunk boards # CE27845 to apply to your trailer. If you do in fact need...

  • Do You Have 10 Feet Long Bunk Boards for My Pontoon Boat Trailer?
Hello Harold, Looks like you already found the longest ones we have, the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 7' Long - 1 Pair # CE27845. For some 10' boards, I would go to your local hardware store to get some 2"x4" Pressure-Treated Southern Yellow Pine, then you can add the Caliber Bunk Wrap Kit for 2x4 Boat Trailer Guides - 16' Long - Black # CA38AJ. Or if you wanted to stick with the carpet, # FCR8008. You can attach the carpet with some strong glue to hold in place,...

  • How Can I Figure Out What Replacement Parts Are Needed For My Boat Trailer?
Hello Tim, thanks for reaching out. I can certainly point you in the right direction, but there is no way to look up your trailer to know exactly what parts you will need. Most trailer manufacturers do not make this kind of information available online, and there is no universal database we can access. A Shorelander dealership might be able to pull up a build sheet and tell you exactly what parts to use. Otherwise we would need you to take a closer look at the bunk size and brackets and...

  • Availability of 8' CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards
Hi John; the 7' long CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27845 are the longest available. For 8' you can use two sets of the 4' # CE27810. These bunk boards are made of untreated yellow pine. Any big trips coming up with your boat?

  • Solution for Needing Replacement Carpeted Bunks 100, 105, and 34 inches
We have 36 inch long bunk boards available like with the part # CE27800 but the longest we offer are 84 inches like the part # CE27845. We don't have any that are 100 or 105 inches long. We do have bunk carpet in 18 foot long sections like the part # CE11349 which you could use with boards if you could source them elsewhere.

  • Availability of 10' Long Carpeted Bunk Boards
Hey Verne! I do have a solution but, 10' bunk boards are not something that we carry. What you can do is use two of the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 5' Long # CE27820 to get your 10' length. This will work just as well as an actual 10' board. You will also need the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies # CE10000G-4. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out in the comments below.

  • Replacement Rollers For Wobble Rollers To Eliminate Marks and Gauging In The Boat Hull
Since your main concern is the marks on the hull of your boat I recommend going to the Yates TPR Ribbed Wobble Roller. These rollers are constructed of thermal-plasticized rubber which is a non-marking, non-scratching material. It is stronger and more durable than traditional rubber while being softer and more pliant than polyurethane. You will need to find your shaft size to find the correct 5" Rollers. If you have a different size roller let me know what size it is and I can help you...

So the U-Bolt will secure the CE Smith Light Duty, Vertical Bunk Bracket # CE10603G with the ends pointing towards the back of the trailer. If you look at the picture you took it looks like those fasteners holding your current brackets could be U-Bolts in this orientation. I'm not sure what your frame size is but I'm linking our list of U-Bolts that you can check out if your current hardware is in need of replacing. When it comes to attaching your Bunk Boards # CE27845 to these brackets...

  • Rollers to Carry Raft on Modified Trailer
The way the Ladder Roller for Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Crossbars # RR1500 works is that the top bracket mounts into the t-tracks of your bars and roller is on the side. That means they can't be flipped upwards since there are no t-tracks on the side of the bar that they can clamp onto if the bar was mounted traditionally like it would be on a roof rack. If you're modifying a boat trailer though, you might be interested in Boat Trailer Standard Roller Bunks # DL21755. These can attach to mounting...

  • Replacement Bunk Boards Longer Than 7 Feet Long
I have a solution for you, but unfortunately those 7ft long bunk boards # CE27845 are going to be the longest ones we currently offer. If you wanted to source the wood yourself you could then just use some marine grade carpeting like the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting for Bunk Boards - Black - 18' Long x 18" Wide # CE11349 and build your own-might be more cost effective as well since you'd save on shipping a rather large item. If you do go that route you'll want to avoid pressure...

  • Can I Use Roller Bunks and Carpeted Bunk Boards Together on Boat Trailer
I'll start off by saying that I've seen quite a few boat trailers that use a combination of rollers like the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 6 Rollers Each - 5' Long - 1,500 lbs - 1 Pair # CE27710 and a carpeted bunk like the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 7' Long - 1 Pair # CE27845. • Replacement Options for 17' Long Bunk Boards for a 20' Pontoon Boat
It is recommended to have bunk boards at least 50% of the length of your boat. But since you currently have 17' bunk boards, we would recommend that you replace your boards with that same length. The longest complete bunk board that we have are the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27845 which are 7' long (this is 1 pair). So you would need to buy (2) of these and (1) of the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27800 (3') to get 17'. Or what I would recommend is to get some 10' 2x4's from...

  • Recommended Bunk Board Replacement Options for Boat Trailer
For your boat trailer, the length of bunks is dependent on the boat and the trailer, so I would be hesitant to change anything from the factory. It soulds like you have a couple of 2 foot bunk boards that need to be replaced and you can use the CE Smith Carpeted Johnboat Bunk Board for Boat Trailers - 2' Long - Qty 1 # CE27850 for the replacement. You can use shorter bunk boards in combination to reach your current lengths. Doing so will sometimes even increase the strength because...

  • How to Select Bunk Boards for a Pontoon Boat Trailer
The correct size of bunk boards for your pontoon boat trailer is going to vary depending on configuration. Generally speaking, you will want the horizontal bunk boards to reach from the transom edge to the hull. Most people will then run two sets of vertical bunk boards like CE Smith Bunk Style Guide-Ons part # CE27671 in the middle of the trailer to center the boat and then two sets of horizontal bunk boards on each side to support the pontoons. The longest horizontal bunk boards we offer...

  • Proper Trailer Bunk Board Length for 21 Foot Boat
Two 12 foot long bunks boards will work well to support your 21 foot boat. Ideally, the bunk boards should be at least half as long as your boat and run from the stern (or a few inches beyond it) to the bow as far forward as you like. Due to shipping restrictions/cost on over-sized items, the longest bunk boards we carry are the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards # CE27845 which are 7 foot long. • Can Bunk Boards Be Built Using Pressure Treated Lumber
You certainly could make your own bunk boards using pressure treated lumber and bunk carpet like # CE11372 if you wish. CE Smith doesn't use pressure treated lumber in their bunk boards because some of the chemicals used to pressure treat the lumber could leach into the water.
